Armchair designed by Marco Zanuso, 1951. Produced by Cassina since 2015 as part of the iMaestri collection.
Shown here in Cat. E fabric upholstery, Lady is composed of separate seat, back and arm elements, combined in a measured balance of volume, structure and padding. Also available on request in other upholsteries and as a two-seat sofa, it became an icon of post-war Italian design soon after its presentation, receiving the Gold Medal at the IX Triennale di Milano in 1951.

Marco Zanuso
Marco Zanuso was born in Milan on May 14, 1916. Over his long and multifaceted career, he was an architect, designer, urban planner, and academic, recognized as one of the founding figures of Italian industrial design. In the postwar period, he contributed significantly to the discourse of the “Modern Movement” in architecture and design.
