Tom Dixon's iconic S-Chair is an object with a handcrafted nature transformed into a genuine industrial success, an emblem of contemporary design. S-Chair features a dark painted metal frame; the iconic original version is upholstered in swamp straw; additional variants available are wicker or fixed upholstery in a selection of leathers and fabrics from the collection. For the swamp straw version, the weaving process is entirely by hand. Price refers to the wicker version.

Tom Dixon
Tom Dixon is one of the most influential British designers on the contemporary scene. Born in Tunisia in 1959 and raised in London, he is self-taught and has built his career experimenting with materials, industrial techniques, and unconventional production processes. His style is recognizable for the bold use of metals, reflective surfaces, sculptural forms, and an aesthetic that blends craftsmanship with industrial production.
