Born in La Spezia in 1939, Gaetano Pesce is an Italian designer and architect, considered one of the most influential figures in contemporary international design. His research focused on the experimental use of materials, particularly synthetic resins, employed as both expressive and structural tools, contributing to the emergence of Radical Design. Pesce challenged the notion of industrial seriality by introducing variation and unpredictability, conceiving design as a practice capable of reflecting the social and cultural complexity of the present.
