Product Details

The Grande Vite in wood is a masterpiece of joinery, created in the first prototype by Pierluigi Ghianda, master cabinetmaker. The three-legged base is height-adjustable via the wooden “screw.” The base can be made from solid Canaletto walnut, solid natural beech finished with water-based or solvent-based clear varnish, or painted in white or black lacquer. Resting on this ingenious base is a 12mm tempered extra-clear glass top with polished edge. Available in various sizes, with either a single base and circular top, or a rectangular top with two bases. The price refers to the circular version in natural beech.

Vico Magistretti

Vico Magistretti

Born in Milan in 1920, Vico Magistretti grew up in a family of architects, where design was part of a deeply rooted cultural tradition. His education took place within the same urban context, which in the postwar period became fertile ground for his contributions to the development of Italian industrial design. His work focused on the simplification of design, understood not as formal reduction but as conceptual and functional clarity. Magistretti conceived objects as direct responses to everyday use, combining industrial production, design intuition, and domestic quality, profoundly influencing the way contemporary living is approached.
