The collaboration between Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand took shape in Paris during the 1920s, within the Rue de Sèvres Atelier. After starting his practice with Pierre Jeanneret in 1922, Le Corbusier brought Charlotte Perriand on board in 1927. Lasting until 1937, this partnership proved decisive in the field of furniture design, where architecture and furnishings were conceived as parts of a single system, in which function, space, and daily life were closely intertwined.
