Salvador Dalí
Salvador Dalí was born on May 11, 1904, in Figueres, Catalonia, a city to which he remained deeply attached throughout his life. He died in 1989, having left a legacy that transcended painting, decisively influencing the world of design as well. Dalí conceived the object as an extension of the imagination: the function is never denied, but is constantly subverted, ironized and charged with symbolic meaning, transforming the object into a narrative experience.
