Forest Bookcase
Nendo
Production Driade
Bookcase designed by Nendo for Driade, 2012.
Forest translates the abstract image of a woodland into an ordered, light and highly graphic structure. The wood-composite shelves are punctuated by a dense sequence of vertical supports in lacquered solid wood, arranged in a regular rhythm to create a three-dimensional grid. The result is a bookcase that organises space without weighing it down, balancing solid areas, open spaces and fine lines. Fitted with adjustable feet beneath the structure, it adapts discreetly to different domestic settings. Now out of production, it reflects Nendo’s refined, conceptual approach to design.
Design: 2012
Dimensions: W 100 × D 40 × H 200 cm
