Jazz Table Lamp
Diego Fortunato
Production Vibia
Table lamp designed by Diego Fortunato for Vibia, early 2000s.
The aluminium shade is paired with a polyester resin base, both finished in gold, creating a balance between material, form and volume. The shade is topped with an opaque plastic disc, which conceals the four internal light sources and diffuses a strong, even light into the surrounding space. The result is a minimal, contemporary lamp that combines sculptural impact with functionality.
Design: early 2000s
Dimensions: Ø 26/45 × H 73.5 cm
Diego Fortunato
Born in Buenos Aires and active between Barcelona and London, Diego Fortunato is a self-taught designer who, beginning in 1995, founded his own product design studio, developing a practice that spans product design, sculpture, installations, and visual communication. His work is distinguished by a free approach to the rules of design, where form and function emerge from observing space and engaging directly with the context. Fortunato conceives design as a narrative experience, inviting the observer to enter the story of the object and recognize its emotional and spatial dimension.
