La Rotonda features a wooden base made from three square-section elements, which intersect and support one another through a single interlocking joint. This example has a natural ash base and a float glass top. Reduced to a few carefully balanced elements, the design combines structural clarity with a strong sculptural presence. The model is also available in black-stained ashother wood finishes, with tops in wood, glass or marble.

Mario Bellini
Mario Bellini is a Milanese architect and designer, born in 1935, renowned for receiving eight Compasso d’Oro Awards and for having twenty-five of his works in the permanent design collection of the MoMA in New York. His extensive career spans furniture and industrial design as well as architecture of iconic buildings worldwide, and he served as editor of the architecture magazine Domus from 1985 to 1991.
