Lady was awarded the Gold Medal at the IX Milan Triennale in the same year it was first presented, marking an important moment in the evolution of the upholstered armchair in post-war Italian design. Zanuso designed the seat, backrest and armrests as separate elements, bringing them together in a carefully balanced composition of structure, volume and comfort. Presented here in Cat. E fabric, the armchair reflects his research into new upholstery techniques and industrial production, while maintaining a soft, refined domestic presence. Also available with other upholstery options on request and as a two-seat sofa.
