Zet Fruit Bowl

Production Ajeto

€4.000,00

Fruit bowl designed by Bořek Šípek for Ajeto, 1992.

With Zet, Bořek Šípek reimagines the fruit bowl as a delicate, theatrical object, where function is closely tied to the decorative quality of blown glass. The upper dish, smooth on the inside and dotted on the outside, rests on hand-crafted coloured glass elements that bring rhythm, movement and contrast to the composition. The piece reflects Šípek’s expressive, baroque language, transforming a functional object into a small scenographic presence. Now out of production, this example is numbered 2/200, signed by the designer and retains the original Ajeto label.

Design: 1992

Bořek Šípek

Born in Prague in 1940, Bořek Šípek approached objects as a field for formal and material experimentation. In his work, design becomes a space of contamination between craftsmanship, technique, and imagination, with particular attention to glass and decorative materials. Šípek conceived design as a space for expressive freedom, where function and ornament coexist, creating objects that transcend industrial neutrality to assert a strong, distinctive presence in the domestic environment.
