Cini Boeri
Cini Boeri graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 1951. After a brief period in Giò Ponti’s studio, she collaborated for many years with Marco Zanuso before opening her own Milan practice in 1963. Active across architecture, interiors and industrial design, her work paid close attention to the function of space and to the way people experience their surroundings. She taught and lectured internationally, served on juries for international design competitions and received numerous awards, including the 2011 Compasso d’Oro Career Award. Her works are held in museum collections, while the Ghost armchair, designed in collaboration with Tomu Katayanagi for FIAM, reflects her experimental approach to materials, structure and perception.
