Masayuki Matsukaze

Masayuki Matsukaze, born in Japan in 1942, is a Japanese designer known for his collaboration with Kartell and the Centrokappa design team during the 1970s. His work combines essential forms, functionality and an innovative use of plastics in furniture for domestic and educational settings. His best-known projects include the mod. 4820 folding armchair from 1979, now sought after by collectors of 20th century design.
