Perry King (1938–2020) and Santiago Miranda founded King Miranda Associati in Milan in 1976, after both working as consultants for Olivetti. King had trained in industrial design in the UK and contributed to projects including the Valentine typewriter and Sistema 45, while Miranda, trained in Seville, brought a strong interest in communication, image and design research.
