Ron Arad

Ron Arad, born in Tel Aviv in 1951, is a designer, architect and artist known for his radical exploration of form, structure and materials. After studying at the Jerusalem Academy of Art, he moved to London to attend the Architectural Association and in 1981 founded One Off with Caroline Thorman, developing experimental, self-produced furniture. His practice ranges from found-material pieces such as the Rover Chair to industrial designs, moving freely between furniture, sculpture, interiors and architecture.
