Product Details
Table lamp designed by Gae Aulenti for FontanaArte, 1964.
Giova marked Gae Aulenti’s debut in lighting design, combining the functions of a lamp and a vase in a single object. A transparent globe set on a metal base encloses the inner sphere that houses the light source, while above it sits a blown-glass bowl with irregular bubbles, designed to hold flowers. The result is a sculptural piece that sits between lighting and decoration.

Gae Aulenti
Born in Udine in 1927, Gae Aulenti was a central figure in Italian architecture and design of the late twentieth century. Her work spanned design, exhibition, and interventions on existing buildings, connecting contemporary objects with historical contexts. Aulenti conceived design as a tool for dialogue with the memory of places, adapting projects to cultural layers and the real use of space.
