Nanda Vigo

Production Flou

€2.000,00

Tapestry designed by Nanda Vigo for Flou, 1992.

The work depicts a monumental, imaginary construction suspended between façade and landscape. Shades of green, fuchsia and beige move across the surface in a veined, irregular rhythm, heightening the tension between architecture and abstraction. Hand-knotted in wool and produced in a limited edition in the 1990s, the tapestry translates one of the most recurring themes in Nanda Vigo’s work into textile form: space as a perceptual construction.

Design: 1992
Dimensions: W 190 × H 145 cm

Nanda Vigo

Born in Milan in 1936, Nanda Vigo was an Italian artist, architect, and designer, active across art, architecture, and environmental experimentation. In a context still largely unwelcoming to women, she developed an independent and radical exploration of the relationship between space and time, using light as a design material. Vigo conceived the environment as a perceptual experience, capable of transcending physical boundaries and suggesting a continuous, immaterial spatial dimension.
